Building Strong Confident Leaders one Step at a Time
Kelly Stento began her dance training at LeRoux School of Dance under the direction of the school's founder, Phyllis (LeRoux) Gershbach and daughter, Bonnie Gordon, at the age of 10. Her dance education included lessons in ballet, tap, jazz and pointe; a position in the student teacher program, and select member of the LeRoux Steppers. The highlight of her youth was winning First Place at the Tremaine Dance Convention in NYC as a tap dancing member of the PIZAZZ Dance Company. Miss Kelly received formal dance training at DeSales University and at the University of the Arts, and has been teaching since 1989. She has taken classes with many master teachers, in particular the late Al Gilbert, Bob Rizzo, Beth Bogush and Karen Cleighton. Having received the majority of her teacher training from Denise Walsh (Director of LeRoux between 1985 and 1996), she also recognizes Kiddance, Tempo-Level-Energy & Shape, Music Works Unlimited and Twinkle Star™ Dance, as well as Rhee Gold, Tiffany Henderson and Stacy Tuschl, for their contribution to her expertise both inside and outside the classroom. Since becoming Director in 1996, Miss Kelly has preserved the professional reputation and family friendly atmosphere that clients have come to know and expect of LeRoux through much more than just dance lessons. In 2001, the LeRoux family grew to include two locations, which annually touched the lives of 500+ students. In 2005, Miss Kelly enhanced the curriculum with the addition of Petite Feet, appropriately designed for the needs of those who are just beginning to walk and talk. In October 2009, the LeRoux tradition in Conshohocken was passed along to another LeRoux alumnus, Susie Anhorn. Since 2011, LeRoux proudly offers Tap-n-Burn , an adult cardio fitness class with an emphasis on tap dancing; The Most Unique and Most Memorable Workout (according to Philly Fit Magazine).
Together with her staff, they have been sponsoring free classes for moms clubs, scout troops, and are happy to provide professionals for Home & School sponsored events and Career Days. LeRoux students perform at fairs, malls, community days, in parades, and at local assisted living facilities free of charge. Since 2010, Miss Kelly is the hostess of a specialized story time, a free 45-minute dance experience that explores the adventures of Angelina Ballerina ® at the Royersford Public Library. Miss Kelly is very passionate about sharing the world of dance with as many children as possible - even those who don't take lessons in the private setting of a studio.
The Steppers Dance Team, established in 2006 offers a competitive team option for dancers at LeRoux. The group is well known for it's consistent TOP SCORE awards for their full team tap performances. Additional recognition include Director's Awards for Choreography, Emotional Commitment, Best Director, and Studio Excellence. Miss Kelly credits the success of the Steppers Dance Team to both the dancers and their parents for their sacrifice and dedication to dance excellence. That, coupled with the wonderful staff of dedicated teachers and choreographers that work along side her, The Steppers Dance Team is the most versatile, successful team in our area.
This busy mom raised three children while managing this successful business, so she understands the great effort that's required to juggle work and family. Outside the classroom, Miss Kelly is a member of the 422 Business Alliance, Spring-Ford Chamber of Commerce, Royersford Business Association, DanceStudioOwner.com, Twinkle Star Dance and Diamond Circle. With pride, she has been managing the continued success of LeRoux School of Dance, LLC since 1996.
Having grown up at LeRoux, Delaney studied various styles of dance including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz and lyrical. Her dedication and love for dance led her to join the Steppers dance team, where she had the opportunity to compete and perform both in the local community and beyond, such as the Cherry Blossom parade in Washington, D.C.; a highlight of her time with the team. Delaney performed the role of Snow Queen in LeRoux's very first Nutcracker production in 2014, which will always be one of her favorite dance memories. In 2019, Delaney received a Bachelor of Science degree from York College of Pennsylvania, and in 2021, a Master of Science degree from West Chester University.
In July of 2021, Delaney returned to LeRoux, but this time in a new capacity. Driven by her desire to offer today's dancers the same, wonderful experiences she had, she joined the studio's staff and became the primary point of contact for students, parents, and the community. As the face behind all communication, she is responsible for managing inquiries, updates, social media presence, and more.
Delaney resides in north New Jersey with her fiancé, Albi. Despite the distance, she remains deeply committed to LeRoux, and could never miss the opportunity to support her fellow staff members and the dancers at our annual performances. Here's a face to the name that you see on all of our correspondence!

Our student ambassador program is designed to provide an apprenticeship to those who are interested in furthering their careers in Dance Education. Acceptance in this program is based on dedication to dance and one's natural ability to help, love and nurture younger children. Student ambassadors must volunteer their time and often face a choice between this program and other school activities. They are commended for their hard work and dedication, and are an inspiration to our younger students. Class size does not change when a student ambassador is available. Small classes are essential to offering individual attention from our teaching staff.
We are pleased to name the following dancers to this program:
Brianna Hickman
Cecelia Shupard
Gabrielle Long
Sara Salica
